Podaca is a tourist resort located along the Adriatic tourist road 2 kilometers east of Zaostrog. Podaca is a tourist resort located along the Adriatic tourist road 2 kilometers east of Zaostrog.

Podaca consists of three villages: Kapeć, Viskovića vala and Ravanje with a total of 660 inhabitants. The population is primarily oriented towards tourism, but they also deal with fisheries, agriculture and olive growing. Comfortable houses, villas and apartments, several catering establishments are the basis of the tourist development of Podaca.

The old settlement Podaca under the bushes of Biokovo is almost completely abandoned. It is mentioned for the first time in 1477. On the hill in the old settlement beneath the mountain was erected a tower for the defense of the Turks, and nearby there is the church of Sv. Ivana at the cemetery, which was raised by the natives Kacic. In addition to the church of Sv. Jurja in Tucepi and the church of Sv. Mihovila u Igranima is one of the most important monuments of Renaissance-style architecture in the 12th century. At the entrance to the church there is a tombstone with the names of Kačića, and is near the medieval stone-ridge. Church of Sv. Stjepan from 1492 was demolished in the 18th century.
