Bratuš

The visitor's attention to Bratuš attracts specimens of preserved Dalmatian architecture.

A small, quiet tourist place is located at the foot of mountain Biokovo, 5 km south of Baška Voda. Bratuš has been inhabited since the XVII century and was first mentioned in 1674, but the prehistoric locality with an Illyrian hill above the site and archaeological finds testifies to life in this area two thousand years ago.

The visitors of Bratuš attract specimens of the preserved Dalmatian architecture, and the more important are the Kačići Courts, complex of residential and business buildings in the center of town. The fishing tradition of the place was replaced by tourism. The tourists mainly offer rooms and apartments in private houses, shop and catering facilities, and white pebble beach.
